Joe M. Regenstein教授简介
Joe M. Regenstein(任吉琛)博士是美国康奈尔大学食品科学系教授,人口药品与科学诊断系兼职教授。其本科和硕士均毕业于康奈尔大学,博士毕业于布兰戴斯大学(犹太哈佛)。Joe M. Regenstein教授研究领域是肉类食品,尤其是鱼类与畜禽类食品,研究重点包括肉类蛋白功能,新鲜鱼与冷冻鱼的储存期延长,鱼类和畜禽下脚料的高值化利用及肉食品检测等。荣获2000年度美国食品科技学会(IFT)授予“伊丽莎白弗莱明斯蒂尔人道主义奖”,表彰其在提高食品福利方面所作贡献。
Joe M. Regenstein教授目前已发表SCI论文110余篇,出版学术专著2部,撰写学术著作7个章节,他还担任国际英文学术期刊《Food Bioscience》的创刊主编及17个英文杂志的编委和审稿人,曾经作为美国国会科学会士在美国国会从事农业与食品方面的政策咨询。
Joe M. Regenstein教授是美国食品科学技术学会会员,该组织是全球最大食品科学组织,致力于推动食品科学和技术进步。兼任美国化学学会、大西洋渔业科技学会、家禽科学协会和美国肉类科学协会会员,曾担任IFT肉类食品研究会的主席。Joe Regenstein教授对于美国的食品法规、转基因食品、Kosher和Halal食品认证等方面也有深入的研究。
Biography: Dr. Joe M. Regenstein joined the Department of Food Science at Cornell University as an Assistant Professor in 1974. In 1980, he was Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science at Cornell University. Professor Joe received his B.S of Science in College of Arts and Sciences, Cornell University after which he got his Master of Science, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences,Cornell University before persuing to academe to complete a Ph.D in Biophysics at Brandeis University.
His research is on use of by-products, particularly from fish processing wastes. Joe M. Regenstein is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Food Science. He received a B.A. in chemistry from Cornell`s College of Arts and Sciences, an MS in dairy chemistry from College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and a PhD in biophysics from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. He joined the faculty in 1974 and is a member of the Field of Food Science and the Field of International Development. He is an Adjunct Professor in Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine, a member of the Governing Board of the Science of Natural and Environmental Systems (SNES) program, and a member of the Program of Jewish Studies. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Food Industry Program at Kansas State University.
He is a Distinguished Foreign Export at Jiangnan University in Wuxi, China and an Adjunct Professor at Chiang Mai University in Chiangmai, Thailand.
