题目:Characterization and Degradation of Printable Solar Cells
时间:2016年12月13日10:00
地点:理学楼 516
摘要:Printable solar cells are very attractive as they are potentially low-cost and can have new applications. However, there are a number of challenges including understand the structure-property-performance relationship, and degradation of the devices. In this talk, results on applying/developing advanced characterization techniques to characterize the printable photovoltaic films/devices will be presented, followed by studies on possible origins of degradation of organic solar cell. Our findings show that Raman spectroscopy can be a powerful technique to probe degradation of perovskite solar cells, and degradation of fullerene could be a key cause of the degradation of organic solar cells.
专家简介:Dr Wing Chung Tsoi is a senior research officer at Swansea University. He obtained his BSc and PhD from the University of Hull. He then took a postdoctoral position at the University of Sheffield, working on organic semiconducting materials for novel ultrafast optical switching. From 2009, he obtained an EPSRC-NPL postdoctoral partnership which allowed him to work both at Imperial College and National Physical Laboratory. From 2012, he participated in a TSB project, and demonstrated that Raman can be a valuable technique to probe degradation of organic PV. In 2014, he was awarded Knowledge Transfer Secondment (KTS). From September 2014, he took up his current position, and is developing a research group on advanced characterization of PVs, and new application of PVs.
